More proof that Avatar deserved to lose the best picture Oscar.

I did not like Avatar that much. It was a vanity project for a douchebag director. I’m happy he and the film lost the big prizes.

It was unnecessarily long. The lead actor, Sam Worthington, had an inconsistent American accent that really annoyed me. And the 3-D effects, while revolutionary, were too subtle. After all the hype, I wanted the 3-D stuff to feel more interactive.

What’s really bugged me, though, is the storyline, which I’ve been calling average and derivative for about three months straight. It seems I’m not alone.

Pocahontas. Oops, I mean Avatar.

    This was halarious…i always thought that avatar was a Pocahontos rewrite also….
